- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I traveled zillions of miles to discover they didn't have what I wanted. It's not really their fault -- other stores are out of stock too - but I want to vent my frustration, having struggled to find the place on my way back to Chicago from the best eclipse-viewing camp-site in Ill., Sandburn Junction. And Blain's was out of stock -- a bummer. And I didn't find their prices all that outstanding. I wanted to stock up on Coke-Zero to evade the Cook County soda tax, but Blain's was selling a 12-pack for $5.29 vs. $3-something at Walmart (which admittedly might have been a sale price.) One plus -- the store was practically deserted at 8PM Tuesday -- Less than a dozen cars in the parking lot.February 24, 2017by Edwin Meyer
